Family is my priority and what keeps me going. They're the foundation of our home. We enjoy playing video games, swimming, family get-togethers, and sports! I've created three humans.
Being a programmer is my passion. It's not just a job, it's a choice. I am on a mission to find a long-term career. Independent projects are fun for awhile, but I want to do more and collaborate with a team on mulitple projects.
I graduated with the University of Maryland Global Campus with a 4.0 in Software Development and Security. Being a student doesn't end with a degree. I am forever a learner.
I am a passionate learner and someone who enjoys digging deep into development projects. I have consistently proven time and time again to go above and beyond on all assignments academically. I have maintained a 4.0 for 2 years with very complex projects and honestly, some not so complex. I have spent hours upon hours beating my head against the wall trying to figure out a bug. I have felt the urge to quit but never gave up. Persevering through a challenging task gives me satisfaction. I want to prove myself, not to be handed something.
I speak to inanimate objects to hopefully find a resolution before running for help. I am not afraid to ask for help when I need it. After all, I am not an expert at anything just yet. I need an environment where I can grow, be heard, and have flexibility. I am fine to work independently, but would thrive in an environment with a mentor right now. I hope to be able to mentor others soon. In short, I'm awesome, but you won't truly see it unless you give me a chance.
